Hypnosis for Parents

Maybe you’re feeling guilty because being a parent is supposed to be such a positive experience and at the moment it’s anything but that.

It’s very easy to be too hard on ourselves. There always seem to be outside pressures - including the opinions of other family members - and we can end up feeling we’re being judged. When something happens to trigger our emotions it can feel overwhelming, and it’s not just events - our thoughts about the past or our anxieties about what might happen in the future can really take over.

Together we will enable you to identify what really matters to you in your family life and using CBT I will help you figure out what approaches to your children’s behaviour are not working for you. Using imagery in hypnosis we will install new ways of coping which will then become second nature to you when faced with these situations. We will look at your beliefs about yourself and challenge how true they actually are. Sometimes you just need some headspace to work out how to get through the challenges and this is where I can support you with a problem-solving approach, using hypnosis to engage your thoughts, feelings and actions to achieve the best possible outcomes for you.

It’s always possible to make changes and by the end you will be noticing that your best is good enough, you will be feeling more relaxed, more able to cope as well as enjoy and appreciate family life once more.
