About me

I have a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy which focuses on evidence-based research and is recognised by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council and British Psychological Society. I’m registered with the GHR (General Hypnotherapy Register) and am bound by its Code of Ethics and requirements including continuing professional development.

Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy is an effective way of making positive, lasting changes and I love being able to support people to achieve their goals. As a mum, I can relate to the challenges of juggling work and family along with other pressures life can throw at us. I’ve experienced some difficult times myself - losing a baby, then divorce and the anxiety and stress that followed. For me, hypnosis was a massive help in working through my problems and this is what led me to train as a hypnotherapist.

I have a degree from the University of Glasgow and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. For 22 years I was in the education sector working with parents of children with additional support needs. This role allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the challenges they faced from day to day, giving me the opportunity to provide emotional as well as practical support and guidance. I have also been a volunteer counsellor for Sleep Scotland, giving advice and support to families who have a child with sleep issues.

As a hypnotherapist I am passionate about helping others to overcome barriers and live their best life.
